Front Street Parkade

Project

The Front Street parkade in downtown New Westminster lacked clear directional signage and didn’t reflect the updates to the surrounding area. Along with practical vehicular signage the parkade now uses poles, ground surfaces and under stairs as opportunities guide visitors towards appealing amenities.

Designed with industrial styled stencils the typography calls to mind the city’s waterfront heritage. The three colour palette coordinates with traffic markings and keeps things simple and high contrast.

Designed at PUBLIC: Architecture + Communication.
